A set of three enamel pins. I assisted my client in developing the theme for this series of enamel pins and wrote descriptions with a unified tone and structure, as well as promotional material for the launch of sales on social media. Each pin included a short description of the symbolism and inspiration behind each animal.
A set of three glitter enamel pins. I researched myths and lore on the magpie to create a description of the set that evoked both the light and dark side of the bird's colourful reputation, as well as the symbolism of each rhinestone (peridot, crystal, and aquamarine) to create a short promotional social media post for each.
A pair of solid oak wolf pins. My client's vision for the romance text was to bring together moon magic lore and a tale of two wolves. Each wolf was a mirror of the other to allow them to stand alone or pair together as a set, so I created a mirrored pair of stories to go along with each pin, drawing from moon mysticism and pagan traditions.
A set of three glow in the dark enamel pins. I worked with my client to develop a title for the series and researched the church grim, a guardian hound spirit believed to protect church graveyards, to bring that lore into the product descriptions.
For each of these projects, the copy helped propel the project and boosted sales. 90% of the Fera Familars sold within the first two weeks, and Feathered Fortunes with double the project size sold 50% of the stock within the first week. Pins were sold locally in North America, and sparked worldwide appeal, shipping internationally to every corner of the world. The success of these projects established a solid working relationship with this artist, who became a returning and always satisfied client.
I have assisted in creating design pitches for the Royal Canadian Mint, including:
